ObiHeart is a once a day nutritional powder that mixes with water to make a delicious and energizing drink.  It is a comprehensive and synergistic formula relying on scientifically backed and safe ingredients. It delivers specific compounds to improve Nitric Oxide production in the body.  Nitric Oxide is essential for the body’s ability to create vasodilation, or a substance that expands the inner diameter of the blood vessels.  This is obviously extremely important to ensure healthy blood flow and oxygenation.  A unique aspect of ObiHealth is its ability to improve oxygenation while helping to protect cells against oxidative damage, one of the leading causes of aging and age related conditions*.  Additionally, ObiHeart provides several other scientifically backed compounds that help with:

Healthy blood pressure*

Improved energy output*

Enhanced performance in sports or other physical activity*

Increased mental alertness*

Improved blood flow to sexual organs*

Protects cells against oxidative damage*

Supports healthy inflammatory response*

Maintain arterial elasticity*

It does this by not only addressing NO production, but also supporting cellular oxygen consumption.  This affords a one-two punch by helping to increase oxygen levels while simultaneously helping cells to utilize the extra oxygen.  ObiHeart also helps to reduce the level or occurrence of reactive oxygen species (ROS), compounds that can actually damage cells.  Lastly, ObiHeart supports proper calcium metabolism, a vital component of maintaining proper arterial health and circulation.*

INGREDIENT HIGHLIGHTS

Watermelon

L-Citrulline

An amino acid that was isolated from watermelon, L-Citrulline has been well researched and known to help improve NO production in the body. Clinically, it has been shown to improve exercise performance, endurance, and blood pressure. It has also shown an ability to improve vascular tone and reduce vascular stiffness. Loss of vascular elasticity often appears with aging and can be a major component of overall vascular problems. Interestingly, Citrulline supplementation has helped performance in both endurance and strength/resistance exercise. Moreover, Citrulline has been shown to provide benefit in cases of ED (erectile dysfunction) due to its ability to stimulate NO production. This may be beneficial for both men and women as proper blood flow is necessary in both cases for healthy sexual function. In some cases, L-Citrulline may actually increase NO production more than Arginine since Arginine may be more difficult to metabolize for some people while Citrulline essentially enters the system with more ease and can be utilized more efficiently. Citrulline is not subjected to metabolism in the intestine or liver. This means it is more efficient and upping NO production, especially during exercise. In addition, this phenomena helps to negate any unpleasant side effects typically associated with other NO amino acid pre-sursors.*

Spectra Whole Food Concentrate

Rich in hundreds of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and phyto-nutrients. Spectra, through research, has been reported to decrease ROS (reactive oxygen species, decrease extracellular H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide), and reduce TNFα-induced inflammatory response in humans. All of these phenomenon can be destructive to cells and are generally even more present as a result of heavy exercise. So in this case Spectra can act as a strong protector of cell integrity. In addition, this unique food blend may increase cellular oxygen consumption in blood and mitochondria (energy producing parts of the cell). This is an excellent complement to nutrients like Arginine and Citrulline that ultimately improve oxygenation, since it is just as vital for the cells in the blood to be able to consume and utilize the oxygen that is being circulated. Other research has shown that ingestion of the Specta blend can cause acute (quick) increases in NO levels.*

Oxystorm® standardized Nitrate

An extract of red spinach (Amaranthus dubius) – one of the richest sources of nitrate in nature. Beets are the industry standard for increasing nitrate levels through supplementation. The leaves of red spinach have 9 times more nitrate than beetroot powder, and 50 times more than beet juice. Bacteria in the mouth converts nitrate from food into nitrite which is then circulated in the bloodstream. When the body experiences low levels of oxygen, nitrite is converted into nitric oxide, which is known to play a number of key roles in cardiovascular health and metabolic control. Ingestion of nitrate increases plasma nitrite concentration and reduces resting blood pressure. It has other benefits as well.
Clinical research published in January in the online version of the publication Nutrition shows that a single oral dose of Amaranthus extract is able to increase the levels of Nitrate and Nitrite in the body for at least eight hours. Again an increase in nitrate and nitrite levels can help improve the overall performance of people involved in sports, physical labor, or virtually any physical activities.*
An analysis of 76 separate trials concluded that dietary nitrate supplementation was likely to create a beneficial response with regard to improved endurance exercise capacity. Of major importance is the fact that recently,” nitric oxide synthesis in healthy tissues has been shown to occur independently of the L-arginine–NOS pathway. Dietary provision of nitrates and nitrites may account for approximately half of steady state nitric oxide concentrations.” This means that dietary nitrates can improve NO production and subsequent vaso-dilation without the influence of arginine or citrulline. Better stated, the combination of nitrate rich material with citrulline/arginine creates a very strong synergy for improved cardiovascular health.
